Someone please tell me you get less insecure with age!!! Or is it just a personality thing and I will always be this insecure?
So I teach high school and my kids are just evil sometimes...first they made fun of my big butt, so I lost some weight & now feel pretty good & haven't heard anything about it since. Then I was sweating under my armpits and they would laugh at the sweat stains, so I got prescription strength anti-perspirant and that took care of that problem.
Then today I wore a cap sleeved shirt and they were talking about my underarm stuble (it is barely, barely there and I have blonde hair) and one kid was singing "In the Jungle." They don't say it outright to me so it's nothing I can discipline them for, but you know when you can tell someone is talking about you?
I mean, I know they are just immature and I should brush it off as kids being kids but I seriously leave school crying sometimes...like today. I am one of the younger, well-liked teachers, and I am not some hairy, sweaty fat beast, I swear!?
Sorry so long and I know this is a random vent...but I don't like to discuss this with my co-workers so I felt the need to vent it to P & E.?
