Purple Cafe & Wine Bar

Which location (Seattle, Kirkland, or Woodinville) do you prefer or recommend? We received a gift card for Christmas and don't know if there is a huge difference between the three locations. We live in Lynnwood so all three are relatively close. Thanks!

Re: Purple Cafe & Wine Bar

  • I have only been to the downtown location. I LOVE it! Delicious food, but you shoudl definitely make reservations.
  • I usually go to Kirkland but downtown is my favorite because after 3pm they have a tasting menu that is fun.
  • I've been to Kirkland and downtown, both were good. I would say if parking is an issue I'd hit either Kirkland or Woodinville (its in a cute location) otherwise if you want a fun night out, Seattle is in a cool city location. (not sure if that was helpful at all) ;)
  • I've been to the Seattle and Woodinville locations. Seattle is bigger, has a good view of Central Library, definitely more cosmopolitan.  Woodinville is chic but intimate, and you could do a free wine tasting at Chateau St. Michelle down the street before, (check their website for times).

  • I have been to Woddinville and Kirkland. I prefered the woodinville location

BTW I highley recommend the Cranberry Chicken salad. mmmmmmmmmmmm.  I know where I will be making a trip too soon.

  • I vote Woodinville. They have a great loft upstairs where you can nibble, sip wine and relax on a couch. A lot more intimate than sitting at tables! Though...I should warn you I have brought my 2 year old here in the past and he loved the upstairs section. They are very nice to the kids and have little putty sticks to play with and such. Not many places successfully combine upscale wine/food with a tolerance for kids!

There are TONS of wineries around Woodinville. There is also a wine shop across the way from the schoolhouse that has tastings (and an antique store for browsing, too).

     Hope this helps!
