Best software to build a website for a newbie techie?

I need to revamp my website, but would really like to do it on my own, one becuase I enjoy it and two because I like the convenience of updating on my own.  That said, I'm no HTML or programming  guru.  Flash is a must too.  Any suggestions for software?  Is DreamWeaver above a beginner's head?

  • I'm a fan of Dreamweaver (you could keep it totally in WYSIWYG mode if you don't want to delve into the HTML code...I use split screen a lot myself). It creates clean code that works well on the main browsers...unlike things like Frontpage or cheaper freebie software programs that write sloppy junk code.
