Date Advice...First one in a long time..

Well ok not really adate. He is a friend form high school. We found each other on myspace. Anyway we talked threw email a few time and text. 2 times on the phone. Any way he text me today and mentioned he noticed my bday was coming up soon.(9 days). Would  i like to go out ofr a beer. So i said yes. SO we are hooking up for beers.

My Question is do i have to wear heels? I mean it is really wet and cold. Can i just wear jeans. DO u suggest the whole heels thing..

We are not any way romantic with each other. He was the best friend to my BF in high school...

Re: Date Advice...First one in a long time..

  • Wear a nice pair of jeans and a nice shirt. I'd skip the heels; if you have nice boots, wear 'em.
  • I would never agree to "date" a man who didn't have the balls to call me and ask me out.  text messaging doesn't cut it
  • Indeed. To me, nothing beats a phone conversation, even if it is for a couple minutes.
  • Your best "butt flattering" jeans, a cute sweater that accentuates your chest/cleavage and a cute pair of boots would be a great date outfit for a chilly night. ?

    Have Fun!?

  • Hell, yes.  Heels make your legs look long and sexy and at your best.  Wear 'em with jeans but wear 'em.  And enjoy the boost.
My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.
  • If it isn't a date, your shoes don't matter.
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • This made me wonder- what's the past tense of "text"? Is it just "text"? "Texted?" I wonder if there's an official grammar rule on this yet.

I agree- cute jeans, tight sweater (w/cleavage), and boots.

I agree with this. If you really don't have romantic feelings for him, then what does it matter what shoes you wear. If I'm going out with friends I don't wear heels with them.

If you are hoping this does lead to something romantic, then I'd go with the other girls' advice of wearing jeans, a nice top and boots.

I agree, unless you WANT there to be something between the two of you, what you wear shouldn't be a big deal.  Although, I always try to look my best when I go out, even if it's just with my girlfriends for a drink.

IMO, cute jeans, sweater and heels are always appropriate attire when having drinks with friends!
