Going too far here?

For all of you that work in a school, and even those that don't if you have an opinion....

Do you think it would be inappropriate of me to ask the parent of my student, since I am a one on one, for a letter of recommendation? I already asked my principal for one, but I think she has worked with me the most, and might be an interesting point of view.

Re: Going too far here?

  • No, I think it's fine. I did that once and the mother said she would however she never did. :( It would make for an interesting letter and not one that principals come across very often.

Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.

  • I would do it.  She really has a good perspective.  The worse that can happen, is that she says no.

  • Thanks. I am going to go for it!
