Hi, ladies! Sorry in advance for the semi-long post!
My husband and I are both very overweight, and both have goals of losing at least 50 pounds. We bought an xbox (mainly because my husband is a gamer), and I ended up buying the YourShape Fitness Evolved game, which I LOVE. In the past, we both will say that we want to start exercising, and talk about it, and plan it out, but then never actually start. Well, we finally have started actually doing something a few days a week, and are trying to ease ourselves into it, instead of just diving in headfirst and getting burned out. Right now, we're trying to get ourselves used to exercising for 30 minutes at a time, 3 times a week.
My question is, does anyone have any tips for rewards? I've used a rewards system for myself in the past, and it does work for me. I have my rewards chart all filled in (mostly new books and at-home spa nights, that'll get me off my bum), but DH is having some problems filling his in (and he wants to do a rewards system too). His chart is mostly nights out to the bar and nights sitting around playing video games, but we're trying to NOT reward ourselves with food, for obvious reasons. Anybody have a reward idea or two? Or just some advice for sticking with it! Thanks!
