Vaginal temps and/or ferning?

Has anyone used either of these methods? Pros/Cons?

If you used a ferning kit, which one did you use? I think I am more interested in this than opk's.

My temps tend to look like the Rocky Mountains.. But I'm just not sure about temping vaginally.

On a side note, my ob/gyn told me that 45 day cycles are the new normal according to a study she got earlier this month. Apparently it used to be 35 day cycles. Anywho just thought I'd throw that tidbit out there.

As always, TIA ladies!!

Re: Vaginal temps and/or ferning?

  • My understanding is that if you are a mouth breather when you sleep, vaginal temping will be more reliable.  I also have a rocky mountain-esque chart so I am going to try vaginal next cycle.

I can't help on the ferning.  And if 45 day cycles is normal, WOOO my average is 47 so I am close. Haha. Stick out tongue
