Another Newbie Post!

Hi, everyone!
So, I'm new to the BNOTB board and I just wanted to give a little wave and hello! I'm 26, DH and I have been married for almost a year, we have two precious kitty babies, Sophie and Sheldon, we're pretty nerdy/geeky people, we love hockey, we still have our Christmas tree up, and we're not sure that we ever want children. I've never really wanted them, and DH has wanted them less and less since becoming a teacher. We decided we'd have another discussion when we're both 30, but signs really just point to no. We just sort of dream of owning a home and filling it up with as many shelter animals as we can feasibly care for! That sounds like the most fantastic family ever to me!
Anyway, just wanted to poke my head out of Lurkersville and say howdy!

Hey! I am a teacher as well!
Haha! Yes! Yes, he is! When we first got him, we were told he was a girl, so we were going to name him Penny. We realized he was a boy pretty quickly and so we changed his name to Sheldon!
He's such a momma's boy! If I go into another room and close the door, he'll sit at it and cry at the top of his lungs. If I'm on the couch, he has to sit beside me/on me. At night he climbs in between me and my husband to sleep. If I call him, he comes running, and when I come in the house from being gone he runs around my legs until I pick him up and give him attention. My husband is amused by our bond and is always laughing at how ridiculous Sheldon acts to get my attention. Very not as detached and collected as Sheldon on BBT!
