Cheating Poll

I'm new to this board but I need opinions. Let's say your husband is planning out a night with friends and he tells you he's stay at a hotel. Then you read his emails and find out he's been emailing his ex and is really planning on spending the night at her house. Would you still consider this to be cheating even though he never went through with the act?

Re: Cheating Poll

  • He never went through with what?

If he went to her house and spent the night he cheated.

If he SAYS he went and nothing happened he is full of shito.

If he stayed home with you he was tempted and didnt cheat but still on thin ice

If he says he went to hotel he is a friggin liar

  • No, he's supposed to go tomorrow night. I read an email he sent to this girl the other day asking if he can stay at her house. Now he's saying he never would have done anything. Is that BS?

Are you friggin kidding me? Of course it's BS. Why would he plan on spending the night at his ex's house and not plan on having sex with her?

Furthermore, I don't know about anybody elses marriage, but if my DH goes out with friends, he's coming back home afterwards.

He's got no business at her home.

And the whole point of it is is that he lied.

Too many grey areas, but the lying eclipses it all.

  • Because he hasn't gotten around to physically sticking his penis into her vagina, your thinking it might not be cheating? Until tomorrow, when he does?

Sweetie, whatever excuses he's giving you to make you doubt yourself are just that. Excuses. He had plans to spend the night at another woman's house and he lied about it. When he got caught he made it sound like it wasn't anything and he changed his plans anyway. Did he say you betrayed his trust by reading his emails too?

He's bad news. A lying cheating liar.

  • What makes you think that a guy who would sneak around like this has never cheated before?

Yes, that is BS. Treat the situation as if you found the email after the boys night out. Just because he didn't actually didn't get the chance to nail the exgf is a technicality. He as good as cheated, and if you think he won't actually go through with it as soon as he thinks he won't get caught, you've got another thing coming. Best of luck!

  • Every marriage is different. In mine: my husband wouldn't be staying out at hotel or anyone else's house for the night. I wouldn't even think of doing that, I wouldn't be okay with him doing that.

Your husband sounds like he doesn't care or respect you enough to be planning nights with his ex, he's a liar and if he didn't cheat yet (gone through with it), sounds like he will eventually.  It's up to you to either get divorce or be his doormat while he emails other women, lies and disrespects you. Good luck to you, hoping things work out and you can find peace

And- Emotional cheating  IS cheating, and can even be worse than just physical cheating, IMO.

Are you serious? Yes he is cheating. You read emails that he is planning on staying with her but yet you are asking is that considered cheating because you dont know if he actually did it?

    Wow.
