Money Matters
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email [email protected]

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

  • We save for different items in ING. We set up different accounts within ING such as vacation, tutition for our daughters preschool, emergency funds, etc. It's really easy and we just divide how ever much our goal or what it is we need by the amount of time and send an ING payment weekly till we reach our goal amount.

We have just 1 account but keep track of the different savings 'pots' in a spread sheet.

This is what we do.  Sometimes I switch up the allocations if something is coming up, like a trip or something.
