Trouble in Paradise

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

  • The fact is accidents happen and sometimes you can't prevent it no matter what you do. No amount of micromanaging or anxiety can stop it from happening. And you can't waste your life being terrified about the unknown. I think you should get some grief counseling to deal with this anxiety.

    As for your husband, it's practical to let you know he won't be home for another hour, but you have to realize there are many reasons he might not get to you every now and then. He might get so caught up in work and just not realize that time has passed. And he can put in as much effort as he wants, but sometimes the memory fails.

    Also consider the possibility that he does think of calling or texting you, but doesn't want to feed into your paranoia or  feel like your insistence is you being untrusting or nagging. I could see how he could feel a little suffocated.
