Roc area: where to find rooms/apts/roommates wanted?

A friend of my sister has a nephew moving here (just graduated college) and is looking for a place to rent- either a room, or an apartment to share, etc.

preferably in the Park Ave area.

I told her to have him go to local colleges and look for flyers, but other than that not sure of anyplace to look.

The randomness of the paper or craigslist seems a bit creepy-

anyone know of other resources? tia

Re: Roc area: where to find rooms/apts/roommates wanted?

  • There is an apt available in the house next door to us.  It's the same landlord and they're AWESOME!  I'm not sure of the size, but the number is 585-482-8620.  Also, if that's been rented is a great way to fine apts in our area!!!
  • I also recommend checking craigslist.

  • I do everything with Craig's List!  I don't think it's creepy at all.
  • I've rented apartments and found roommates through craigslist here in nyc.  There are definitely some creepy ads, but you can usually tell which ones to stay away from.  GL to him!
