PW: Ask me anything!

Unless I screwed up the numbers again, I'm almost to Platinum.  Obviously I spend way too much time on here.  Stick out tongue

    What's your favourite movie?

I have a lot of favorite movies.  It's so difficult to pick just one.  The few that always rank up there for me and I watch over and over and over are:

    The Princess Bride

    Legend

    Constantine

    Pitch Black

    Snatch

Seeing how in love DH is going to be.  Obviously I'm hoping for the best as far as that one goes, but I really anticipate his reaction to be one of utter astonishment, amazement, and adoration.

I'm also looking forward to 12 weeks of not being at work Wink

  • image procstar25:

    What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be a SAHM.  I truly think I'd love it.  In addition to being a good wife and mother I would also be more heavily involved in volunteering with greyhound adoption groups.

  • image jennylove1084:

How long did you date before you got engaged and married?

Short answer:  Dated for 7 months before getting engaged.  Engaged for 8 months before getting married

    Long answer:

    Spring 2000 - met DH

    Fall 2005 - started dating

    Summer 2006 - got engaged

March 2007 - got married at the courthouse (I lost my job and we saved almost $5K in medical insurance premiums, etc. by getting hitched).

December 2007 - had the big wedding at the church with our friends and families.

Though there are things about my ILs that I do not like, for the most part we get along quite well.

MIL has really worked hard to improve her relationship with DH over the past few years and it's been wonderful.

FIL is a great man.  He has so many wonderful qualities and I'm sad that he lives five hours away.

    Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Knight.  He is my baby.  I absolutely adore him and I'm so glad that we adopted him.  I call him "Sweet Boy"  DH calls him my "Big Black Baby" - which can be awkward in front of strangers when the dog is not actually with us.

Let's see.  I'm 5' 1" and he often rests his head just above my hip. He actually loves to rub his face on my belly (before I was pregnant, too).  He also loves to spear DH in the goods with his long nose.  hehehe.  Greyhounds are bad for that.

He weighs 75ish pounds.  We've been trying so hard to put a little bit more weight on him.  He could easily weigh 80 lbs without being considered overweight in the least bit.

Ok first off I never would have thought you are 5'1" from your HDBD photos.  I always thought you were taller (like 5'8" at least).  I know, I know how can I picture that off of a couple of photos.

2nd.  So he is about as tall as I'm picturing.  If we ever get another dog, I want a bigger breed.  I love my small (20lbs) pup but there is something about big dogs.  My dream breed is a Great Dane but DH says no way.  He doesn't want to pick up monster poops.

I stand on a step stool in my pictures so you can see the bump in the mirror.  hehe.  But I know what you mean - I was super shocked to learn that Ruby was tall, I always pictured her as being 5'2" or something.

Greyhounds are fantastic dogs.  Their poops don't seem super large to me, maybe 2 and sometimes 3 times the size of our 20lb dog's.  I love that they have a relatively long life span for a large breed.  14 years is the average.  Much longer than a Great Dane's 7.  I do like Great Danes, but their short lifespan makes me want to cry a lot.
