Burned milk on stove

I made homamde mac and cheese and in the process, boiled over some milk onto the glass top stove. Now it's crusted around the burner. Any recs on how to clean this? I let it cool off first.

Dry baking soda, or a paste?

  • Thick paste, I typically use. Sprinkle it on, spray some vinegar and let it bubble. Scrub off!
  • It worked, thank you!
  • Baking soda always works the best compared to any other cleaner on my stove. Happy it worked for you!

  • Yeah, I'm transitioning away from chemical household cleaners, so this is a great solution.

    Thanks again!

  • Funny. I did this exact same thing a couple days ago. Only, I was making oatmeal and there was also brown sugar in the milk...
It sounds like you already got this taken care of but I use a razor blade to clean my glass top. It got the bulk of it but there's still a bit burnt on still, so I'm going to try the baking soda suggestions too!
