How often do you wash...

your dishcloths and dish towels?

Re: How often do you wash...

  • I wash towels weekly, but I usually change out the kitchen towels (usually one scrubby washable sponge, a dishcloth that we use to wipe counters, and a dish towel) nightly.
  • Every 2-3 weeks. They get changed out a lot more often than that, but I have a boatload of them so I wait until it's a decent size load before I wash them. They have their own little laundry basket in the utility room (a milk crate), and I lay anything wet on the edge of the basket until it is dry so they don't start to stink. Oh, we also use cloth napkins so those go in there too which helps fill up the load.

  • About once a week for both.
  • Same here, once a week. I like to switch my kitchen towels each day and then I have a little pile to do at the end of the week. As for shower towels, I use them about twice before I switch them, sometimes three times.

  • I wash them when I wash my towels which is one a week. I change them out every time I do the dishes. But I use two-one to dry and one to lay on the counter to I can lay out any excess dishes that won't fit in the drainer. Once I dry the dishes-that towel becomes the counter towel.

  • Once a week, but I have a ton so sometimes they pile up for longer!
  • Every couple days we grab a clean one.  We usually have 5-7 or so clean.  I grab them whenever I notice they aren't drying easily (got too soaked), have visible food on them, etc.  Sometimes I change twice in one day, and other times I may go a couple days before changing them out.

  • At least once a week.  I tend to go through them quickly so I may have 2-3 to wash per week.
  • i change them out everyday. typically i will hang  dry them before hamper unless i am doing laundry that day. i will just toss them in wet
