Tell Me Something Good

1) I lost 25lbs and came in 2nd in the weight loss comp. I'm 2lbs less than the goal weight I set for myself. I also weight 47lbs less than I did when Robin and I got engaged, which is f-ing crazy, but makes me feel really proud of myself at the same time.

2) I cleaned out my closet last night and have bags of stuff that doesn't fit ready to give to Goodwill (I'm saving some pants in case I get KU, but they're going in the attic). I think this totally justifies the amount of shopping I'm going to do this weekend.

3) I'm **this close** to talking Robin into an all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic this summer. Our tax refund would cover it. And we can use our tax refund for things like this because we're debt free.

Y'all say something good too, so I don't seem too braggy. Wink

  • WOW DD, you freaking rock!  Way to go! (on all accounts)

we realized last night that we have 3 little vacations over the next 3 months - in 2 weeks we're going to Estes Park for the weekend.  In June we're in Keystone for a friend's wedding (the one I'm catering, so only a quasi vaca), and then in July, we're going to Snowmass for the culinary festival.  Woot for vacations!

I make a lot of cupcakes. I eat a lot of french fries.

  • We have our monthly dinner with friends tonight and I'm so excited to see everyone and catch up.  I love that we've been able to do this consistantly for about four months now.  I've missed my friends :)

We're slowly but surely cracking down on our debt.  I can't freaking wait to say we're debt free.  It'll be at least another year though, if not two with me taking three months off at the end of the year with baby.

  • My Zumba instructor called me her star pupil last night!

I'm getting my hair cut for the first time in 10 months. Yea I'm lazy, what of it? I'm also getting a color and I'm excited.

What color did you decide on?!

I finally reschedule my appoinment since missing the one I had a the beginning of March when I had the stomach bug.  I last got mine cut just before Christmas so it's been four months which is long for me.  I'm not doing anything exciting though, just a trim.

You left out the part where she smacked your ass.

  • I'm sorry guys, I got nothing. I'm still fat, my clothes are pretty much all fitting (which isn't good because they're huge to begin with), and we are far from debt free.

Last night I tried to work out but I wound up tripping over my dog and face planting. Then I had a flat tire this morning.

I'm going to half leave it to the stylist.  Typically I go dark chocolate all over, almost black. But I have been wanting red.  Most people say that it fades quickly, which I'm actually ok with because I want something thats going to fade/blend and I dont have to keep up with it.

I'm leaning towards just some red/bronze highlights.

  • 1) Yesterday I got to go out to lunch and beer with my beer-drinking friend and her hubby. Then we walked over to another bar and stayed until 4 talking and having more beer. It was awesome. I love beer-drinking friends.

    2) I went shopping today and got a few new tank tops, some new $20 sandals, and a fake wedding band to bring to Mexico. The band is sterling with CZ and was on sale for $13 (originally $40!).

    3) I have four shifts between me and Mexico :)
