Sangria

Does any one have a good Sangria recipe that they can share? We're hosting a game night on Saturday and we're going with a Mexican food theme. So Sangria would be a great drink option.

Thank you.

Re: Sangria

  • This is the one I always use and it is always a huge hit.

    One bottle of red
    -1 cup OJ
-3/4 cup Lime Gin (I actually just throw in whatever I have on hand and it turns out fine)
-1 lemon and 1 lime squeezed into mixture
-1/3 cup sugar or 1/3 cup of simple syrup.
-slices of oranges lemons, limes (straberries, mango, peach, apple... whatever you want)
-Mix above ingredients and refridgerate over night (I've skipped the "overnight" part)
-next day add ice 2 cans orange soda, 1 can sprite
  • I like the 'Real Sangria' in the funky bottle with the orange cap at the store :)

    Otherwise we use this recipe:

  • I make Guy Fieries sangria:

    Ingredients

    • 3 cups ice cubes
    • 1/4 cup lemon slices
    • 1/4 cup lime slices
    • 1/4 cup orange, slices
    • 1/4 cup pineapple chunks
    • 1/4 cup seedless grapes
    • 2 cups red wine
    • 1/2 cup peach brandy
    • 1 cup orange juice
    • 1 cup lemon/lime soda

    Directions

In a pitcher, add all the ingredients and stir to combine. Ideally, you want to wait about 1 hour for the fruit and the wine to infuse each other, but you can drink it right away.

The only difference I make is use ginger ale instead of lemon/lime soda, and don't add the ginger ale until ready to serve so it has some bubbles left.  I've tripled this recipe in a big tupperware container, then poured it in the pitcher as needed with a can of the soda.  Everyone loved it!

  • This is my favorite:

I find it works equally well with red or white wine.

  • Sangria
    2 cups OJ
    1 bottle red wine
    1 orange, sliced
    2 peaches, peeled and sliced
    1 lemon, sliced
    confectioner's sugar
    club soda

    1. Mix together the oj, red wine, orange, peaches, and lemon and refrigerate 4-6 hours.
    2. Add confectioners sugar to taste, until it's sweet enough.
    3. Add a splash of club soda and serve over ice.
