I have a 7 mile mixed tempo run tomorrow. I'm getting up at 4:45 to get it done because my day is a bit crazy.
Usually, I don't eat before I do a training run but I've never gone this far this far before breakfast either.
I don't do well with real food before running in the morning so the options that won't make me puke are either a stinger waffle or a GU.
The workout is 1 mile warmup, two miles @ short tempo pace, one mile easy, two miles @ short tempo, 1 mile cool down.
If I can do six moderate miles on an empty stomach should adding in one extra mile cause me to hit the wall that badly?
