Puree Master!

Well, okay, so I am not a 'master' yet, but I made 2 puree soups today for the very first time! One was from a recipe for UWeight Loss and it was yummy...the other one was something that I just made up and it was super delicious! I was so excited, and a little shocked too since it was my first time! lol

I went out today to get the healthy groceries that we will need on this weekend and into next week to get our healthy choices resolution off to a good start.  I am really going to try to get the pre-planning and preparation done on Sundays for each week so that we are planned and ready to go...prevention beats intervention - ha ha!

Does anyone have any yummy, healthy puree soup recipes or favourite recipe sites that I could try?

Re: Puree Master!

  • I love puree soups! Do you have an immersion blends? If not, you've gotta get one. It is by far one of my favorite kitchen tool. http://eggsonsunday.wordpress.com/2008/02/09/weekend-soup-spicy-carrot-peanut/ This is a wonderful recipe. Its from a Moosewood cook book, LOVE THEM. I love going to the libary and renting soup books. I'll make a bunch of different recipes and then freeze them to use on a night I don't wanna cook.

  • Thanks for the tips ladies!

I do have a food processor but I just used my blender yesterday. I love making soups, but usually I make brothy soups - vegetable, chicken, etc. This is a great way to get to use some other vegetables that I don't normally use - like zuccinni (sp?)
