Good News Wednesday!

Spill it ladies! Share the positive vibes with the rest of us :)

Re: Good News Wednesday!

  • I'm enjoying a Dr. Pepper as I type this! I am really loving my job right now and feel really lucky to be able to be a part of the growth and development of baby L. My thanksgiving was a success! I was overjoyed with how well it went off and how much fun I had with H's family all there :) It was really special for me
  • A friend asked me to be the Godmother of her son. I'm excited to have a new baby to cuddle and spoil, (hopefully) without being the parent.

H is away this week and I've been eating all MY favourite foods and drinking some nice Italian red wine with my dinners. Can't wait till later when it's an appropriate time and I can open a new bottle!

  • My PMS is so horrific right now I could really kill someone (or just really hurt) or break everything in our house.

Good news..I haven't....yyyeeeetttt Stick out tongue

  • XH put the GIA certification for my ring in the mail today!  I can't sell the stone without the certification so this is awesome news because I thought he was going to hold it hostage!

  • One of my friends baked me a chocolate cake with coconut-pecan icing for my birthday yesterday and left ALL the leftovers with me. I went home for lunch today and had a piece! It was glorious! I will probably have another tonight after dinner...

Also, I am so excited tomorrow is December. I can start my Belgian chocolate advent calendar, put up the xmas tree & decorate the apartment before DH comes home on Friday Big Smile

We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!

  • A friend from college and his girlfriend and 4 month old baby are visiting this weekend.  We're excited to have a little one in the house for the first time and see how the dog reacts to having a baby in the house.

    Drool.

My awesome news is that my dad's lung biopsy showed that even though his lungs are pretty thoroughly trashed, what caused it is likely treatable (in 80% of the cases they can cure it) and that will stop further damage, meaning he probably won't need a lung transplant!!

  • Great news Kelly!

My maternity leave starts tomorrow! I will miss parts of my job, but I'm happy to have this time to focus on me, DH, and our home to prepare for baby.

  • My SIL is pregnant too- we are due three days apart! I am so excited, and my families, especially MIL, are going to be so excited when they hear the news. We both plan on announcing on Christmas Day- we found out about each other's pregnancy as we both posted on the July 2012 Bump board and then were like...hang on.... it is very crazy but I am happy to be able to share this with someone who lives just down the road from me.

How cool! We're going to TTC#2 in the spring, and I'm really really hoping that my SIL gets pregnant before or at the same time as me. I know they're trying for next year, and I'd love for us to be pregnant together.

  • DH and I had a massive, in depth, very painful discussion this evening about whether we should continue to be together. The good news part is that we decided to keep trying to make it work.

Maybe not very uplifting but it's what passes for good news around here right now!
