So we just bought and moved into our new house and noticed a bunch of dead crickets laying around (the house was vacant for only about 2 weeks). Since then, we have many live crickets being found in our kitchen. We aren't sure where they are coming from but are getting annoyed with them! Is there any magic cricket repellant we can try? They seem to be coming from somewhere under our cabinets/behind appliances Sad TIA

Re: Crickets?

  • This looks pretty informative. The website is for a pest control company, but the article is from an entomologist.

Honestly, if you can find them, the easiest and cleanest way to get rid of them is to just grab them and throw them outside. You'll obviously want to find where they're coming in first so this doesn't continue to be a problem once you get rid of the ones you have.

We get crickets at work sometimes. We just hunt them down, grab them and throw them back outside. We have an atrium at work and they sneak in with the fresh plants that the greenery lady brings in with each season (pointsettias at Christmas, lillies and daffodils in the spring, etc).

  • Thanks! We haven't seen any for a couple days but my husband bought that Raid bug barrier and sprayed inside and out. We were having spiders coming in too.
