Hi,
We have a small yard, and have been waiting to buy a lawn mower until we saw some end-of-summer sales going on,... I've been mowing it 2x/month with an electric weed-whacker so far, but it's just time for a mower. Can anyone give us their opinions/experiences with corded versus cordless mowers? I can see far enough to know I'll be a little peeved trying to keep up with a cord, but the cordless trimmer has led to more than one "I can't believe I forgot to charge the battery" moment. Thanks in advance!
Re: Recommendations for an electric mower?
Who keeps their electric mower plugged in all the time?
We have a Task Force 12 amp/22 inch from Lowe's. It works well on our fraction of an acre lot. Corded.
Our neighbor has a Black and Decker corded that works well on his fraction of an acre lot, but has a smaller cutting deck than ours.
Sorry it took me so long to respond-I use my phone. I have a Remington 20" and we have about .25 acre between the front and back. Maybe that's not much, but we do a lot with it. We priced reel mowers (have to push the mower around the lawn anyways) at Lowe's and Home Depot and planned on spending 200$ on one. I found ours on Craigslist, its actually nicer than any of the ones we saw in stores-and we got brand new(still in box).
I get that not everyone leaves their mowers plugged in, I was just sharing some info on the subject. One of the things we like about the push mower is that you get a little work out with it, but its not hard or anything-just a nice get the blood pumping, without a clunky/awkward machine.
