So if we are going to formula feed right away, what kind of formula does the hospital feed baby? Do they offer organic options? If we are specific, do we bring the formula with us?

BFP on 11/26/2011, we said goodbye on 2/6/2012, after 14 short weeks.
I would ask the hospital what they offer as each place is different. If there is a particular brand that you want, they may not offer it, so you may have to bring your own.
The hospital I delivered at is a baby friendly hospital, so they actually really push breastfeeding. If that's not your plan, I would make sure that you include it as part of your birth plan as I think more and more hospitals are getting on board with encouraging breastfeeding from the very beginning. I had a friend who delivered at the same hospital as me and she put it in her birth plan that she was not planning on breastfeeding and would be formula feeding from the very beginning - they didn't give her any problem with it, although they did still encourage her to breastfeed for the benefits of baby getting the colustrum in the beginning.
