I need a dip recipe!

Hey ladies!

We're going up north this weekend and probably spending most of the time out on a pontoon boat.  I am planning on making bruschetta and a dip for everyone to snack on.

I am looking for a dip that can be served cold / room temperature / won't go bad sitting out a few hours in the heat and that is creamy (but not overly abundant with cream cheese).

Aaaannd GO!

(TIA!)

Re: I need a dip recipe!

  • What about onion dip with pita chips (or something like that)? Or hummus - does that keep okay (I'm not sure)?

I was going to suggest spinach dip in a bread bowl, but I'd be afraid that it could start to eventually turn and the bread might get kinda stale.

  • This is a family favorite of ours -- we serve it straight from the fridge, but it sits out all day during holiday events and is just fine. Even though the main ingredient is cream cheese, don't let that fool you -- it's delicious!

    Granny's 'Famous' Cheese Glop

    2 - 8oz packages cream cheese (softened)
2 - Kraft Old English Cheese Spread
    1 - Tbs Worstershire sauce
    Dash garlic salt

Combine all ingredients and serve chilled. Yum!
