Fitness Challenge?

Would anybody be interested in doing a fitness challenge?

I'm thinking we could start with a sit-up challenge (http://www.twohundredsitups.com/), then move on to the pushup challenge (http://www.hundredpushups.com/), and just do stuff like that.

We could also incorporate other challenges, like logging a certain amount of cardio or however many miles for runners.

Thoughts?

Re: Fitness Challenge?

  • We should totally do this! 

    I am actually starting Week 6 of the Pushup Challenge tonight, and I highly recommend it.  My sister, mom and I are doing them (girl style first, then we'll take a break and do another round with real pushups).  I started out only able to do about 11-12 pushups at one time, and night-before-last I did 50 pushups, in a row, after doing several other sets... for a total of 202 pushups in one evening!  I can tell a difference in my arms, and I'll be doing my 100 Test next week sometime.  You guys should do it! 

    And, I'd be up for joining in on the situps, or they have squats and dips too :)

  • 202 pushups in one evening! That's awesome! I think I can maybe do 10 girl style ones right now.  

    I think I'll start with the situp challenge. So, tomorrow I'll make a post for the initial test. You can list how many you did, or just list the category you call into, and then every Friday I'll have an update post where you can update with how you did for the week.

    After the 6 weeks are up, I'll make a final check-in post and you can brag about copmpleting the full 200 situps.

  • I just printed out the one-page thingy for the situps - I'm so excited!  I'm going to have to alternate with my last week of pushups, so I am not too tired.  It wears you out more than you'd expect! 

    We were doing Health & Fitness check-ins every week... what happened to those?

  • I have no idea what happened to them. I think Linds was posting them. She hasn't been around too much lately.
