I saw in the post below you mentioned your little one had cradle cap and you treated it with Selsun Blue. Can you tell me a little more about that? How many times a week did you use it? Did you follow up by combing with a baby comb? B has cradle cap that seems to be slowly getting worse. We have tried olive oil and vaseline but they haven't seemed to help much. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

  • Yes, we have been using the Selsun Blue for little over a month and it REALLY has made a difference.  I wish I had done it sooner as she has had it since she was 2 months old.  We too tried the olive oil and it didn't do much.

What you do, is squirt about a quarter or more size in your hands, rub your hands together to make a thicker paste out of it. (don't do too much that it lathers--and make sure your hands are dry so that it doesn't lather)  then apply that to the head.  Let it sit for about 5 + minutes.  Then scrub with a soft baby brush and rinse out.  The first week our pedi said to do it at every hairwash (we do it everyother night) So we did 4 baths with it and then just conitinue to do it once a week until its gone.    I will warn you, it stinks and the smell sticks in their hair--yuck! (think old people smell!)  But I think it's worth it!  Good luck with it!
