Sad story, but at least Americans did something good

In a nutshell, women from Uganda were recruited to work at shops on US bases in Iraq, but were tricked into basically being slaves.  The US military provided some shelter and helped these women repatriate.

I know it's nothing to start a parade about, but things like this remind me that while we may have crappy high level policies (why we were there to begin with), Americans on a personal level are often very kind, generous people.
