Ipad ? re Safari

I downloaded the Atomic web browser and deleted Safari from my ipad. Now I want it back so that I can post on the nest from the ipad and I can't find it in the app store. I tried resetting the default settings but it didn't work. Any suggestions on where I can find it? Or are there any other web browsers that you can post from?

Re: Ipad ? re Safari

  • How did you delete it?  When you go into edit mode on the iPad, the pre-installed apps like Safari don't have the option to delete them (the little X at the corner of the icon).  You didn't accidentally move it onto another page or into a folder, right?

Do you have a jailbroken iPad?  I've heard that it's somehow possible to hide the pre-installed apps on a jailbroken iPad, but I've never used one.

  • Thanks for the response.

I don't really remember how I deleted it but it must have been the same way as you delete other apps. I'm not too tech savy. When I do a search, Safari doesn't come up so I don't think it's hiding in a different folder. Any advice for other web browsers I can use to post?

  • I haven't really used any browsers besides those two.

It would be nice if the Nest just made the forums a little more cross-platform, so that we could just post from the iPad without having to fiddle around with the JavaScript settings in the first place!
