DH and I will be skiing in Whistler the 2nd week of March. We'll have a couple days in Vancouver at the end. What are some "must sees?" Things we've thought about are taking the ferry to Victoria, visiting the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain, and walking around the city. Our hotel is in Gastown and not too far from Stanley Park. We're into nature more than shopping, and we also like local music and good food. If you only had 2.5 days in Vancouver, what would you do?
Thanks for your help!
Re: Vancouver, BC
If I only had 2.5 days I probably would skip Victoria, because that's a full day to itself.
Earl'sBride is the resident Vancouver expert - she lives there and can give you some fabulous advice.
We really liked Grouse Mountain, and it you're into nature you'll enjoy it too. We also LOVED Stanley Park. I could probably spend an entire day there too.
My other favorite part was Granville Island. The public market, cute shops, and great food abounds there. It also has a really great vibe.
We skipped Capilano Suspension Bridge and went to Lynn Canyon instead. It's beautiful there and they have a suspension bridge too.
The food in Vancouver is downright amazing - it's one of my favorite foodie cities.
