IN nestie with some cleveland questions

Hi ladies!

Last summer you were super helpful in helping me with Cleveland info, so I am hoping you can help again!

DH is getting to go to a conference in CLE in march. So, his conference is on the Case Western campus. I was looking at staying at the Intercontinental on Carnegie Ave, and visiting the museums near there. Is University Circle a cute area as far as shopping, dining, that sort of thing? Is there an area I should not consider? I would absolutely appreciate any suggestions you may have!

DHs fam is from the suburbs but we have never spent much time downtown, so I feel kind of like I am starting at square one. TIA!

Re: IN nestie with some cleveland questions

  • University Circle is super cute with a lot of shops within close distance.

You're also close to Little Italy, which has a bunch of really delicious restaurants, bakeries and cafes.

     Enjoy!

  • Thank you so much!! I think we have decided to stay at the Intercontinental on Carnigie, I am really excited!  If you have any must see shops let me know :)

  • Do you know that the Carnegie Icon is smack in the middle of the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus?  It's nice, but...
  • Hello!

My husband and I actually live in Little Italy & it is both delicious and unique!  University Circle & Little Italy are within walking distance.  Steer clear of the streets beyond Coltman going east.  This part of town starts to get pretty sketchy, pretty quickly.  If you're looking for great food, please try Trattoria (located on Murray Hill on (mayfield rd)).  If you like egglpant parm, this is absolutely the best by far!  My husband absolutely loves it too.  If you like more of a seafood based pasta, dine at Mia Bella, also on Murray hill/mayfield rd.  Its the newest restaurant in Little Italy, and their food/service is much appreciated.  If you have any questions, please let us know! :) Have fun!
