Hey ladies. My front door will not open more than about 4 inches right now because it is blocked with snow, so we may be stuck for the day!
If you ARE venturing out today, what are you doing that would motivate you to be out and about?
And, if you are staying in, how do you plan on killing time today?
I realize that cleaning would be the best option for me, but I really really don't feel like it at all!!
Lots of love and continual explosions of babydust to my BG Besties! XOXOXOXO

Re: Literally snowed in - what's the best way to kill a snow day?
I'm going to be making some Christmas crafts that I just haven't gotten around to doing yet. I'll probably do some cleaning and maybe wrap presents. I'm hoping that being snowed-in will help me complete some of my to-do list around the house.
That, and we have Netflix, so we're all good. Hope you find something to keep yourself busy!

We are supposed to go to a Holiday party tonight, but I'm not sure if we'll make it. Our street is AWFUL. They plowed our alley, but that just meant that the snow drift moved a bit...
I will be baking cookies, cleaning and doing laundry. Oh, and watching Dexter on Netflix!

I HAVE to go to work this afternoon for a few hours. If I didn't, I wouldn't be venturing out at all.
It's normally a 10-15 min drive. I'm considering giving myself an hour and a half to get there. I'll probably just give myself an hour.
I made cinnamon rolls already and have dough rising for Gruyere Loaves, then I'm making pizza dough to freeze and making Jerk Chicken Chili for dinner!
In between kitchen time we are having a Harry Potter marathon. I also hope to update my blog (finally:/) with 12 treats of Christmas!
I had a hair appointment that I actually made it to and back, however we got stuck halfway in the street and our driveway a second ago trying to get in our garage. DH is not a happy camper at the moment.
We're staying in the rest of the day, making grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup and watching Christmas movies from On Demand from Comcast all day. Nice and relaxing.

I love the storm, but I'm super bummed that I can't take DD to see Santa like I planned. We are finishing Christmas decorating, cleaning and I have a DVR full of Lifetime, ABC Family and Hallmark movies to watch.
my read shelf:
My boyfriend is an operations manager at a company downtown that does snow removal in the winter so he's working 5am-5pm. Just me and the puppy hanging out since our townhouse community hasn't even been plowed yet.
So far I have cleaned, done 3 loads of laundry, and did some organizing.
My plan for the rest of the day is to prepare some meals for the upcoming week, watch a ton of movies and show on netflix, and maybe attempt to crochet (I started a little when I got some hooks and yarn for Christmas last year, but I got bored with it).
Be safe out there, everybody!

So far we've had a great breakfast, made crockpot chili together to be ready for dinner, had a visit by my brother, one session away from being caught up on editing and having a blast playing a friend's borrowed wii!
Fingers crossed the power stays on! We're having a great day!

Our choir concert in Stillwater was canceled. Thank goodness. It doesn't make sense to drive all that way with these conditions to sing a few songs. Nosiree. My mom was freaking out about it earlier when I still planned to go (she freaks out about one raindrop in the sky though.) But then my DAD started freaking out about it and you know that it's bad if he gets really worried.
I'm going to snuggle with my puppies on the couch and watch movies on the DVR. DH took the bus a mile to his part time job this morning. If they pull the buses off the roads he might have to walk home because there is no way either of ours cars can get through this.
Just put a batch of cookies in the oven. I made this recipe :
http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/ultimate-maple-snickerdoodles/Detail.aspxOtherwise I haven't done much. Did some cleaning and blog reading. H has been watching sports/playing video games. In about an hour we are going to go attempt to shovel the driveway, which will be my workout for the day. Then movies, making homemade pizza, and beers

It's up to my HIP, guys. This is insane! I kind of love it
Oh, I know I shouldn't feel bad. I imagine I'm far from the only one who got snowed in today.
The PLOWS got pulled off??? Wow. That is amazing. I don't remember ever seeing snow like this. This is crazy. And my H gets a kick out of driving in this stuff. His 4 wheel drive and snow tires on his Tahoe and we were out for a good part of the day.
We are home now and he is plowing the driveway and then going to do the neighbors drive. I SHOULD clean, our house is a disaster, but I have a headache and I just don't want to. I think I'm going to curl up on the couch with my cat and watch some TV. Yup, that's my plan.

I've been in the hospital since Thursday for pre-e symptoms, so I've been watching all of this play out from my room window. I had a great view of downtown Mpls until about 11:00 last night.
I feel bad for DH, because he is shoveling and snowblowing and making a potty path for the dog. Meanwhile I'm stuck here. I told him to stay home unless I'm dying or delivering. MIL said at least I'm already here "just in case," and I guess she has a point there.
So I've just been hanging out, watching a lot of TV, goofing off on the interwebz, reading, crocheting and sleeping. Not much else I can do.
