The City of Dunedin, and the Pinellas County Sheriff's office has
informed us that due to a glitch we will be unable to have our 5K run
On March 9th, 2010, we applied for the "entertainment" permit, paid our money, they cashed our check, and we were instructed to obtain a decibel meter to monitor amplified music, which we did. 7 months later we were mailed a violation stating that the permit was not issued and we are in violation by holding any event on our patio until this matter is resolved.
It is my understanding that the city recently sent out a mass mailing of violations, to us and many other Dunedin merchants. Unfortunately the City representatives that are necessary to resolve our permit issue are now too busy and unable to help us in time for the 5k.
I suspect their code enforcement department is fully staffed and ready to write violations, however.
The race has been postponed until 12/17. More information to follow.
