I Would Be Upset

I would be really upset if I worked out 1-2 hours each day and was still 'fat'. I'm alright with my current weight, especially knowing I do almost no physical activity.

But if I was that dedicated to working out and was still considerably larger than I wanted to be/use to be - I would probably give up fairly quickly.

Re: I Would Be Upset

  • Yeah its frustrating.
  • I have a friend like that.  She works out, but goes through periods of time where she eats WHATEVER she wants in large amounts.  She will eat healthy for a couple of weeks then binge for a couple of weeks.
  • It is very common and very frustrating.

I didn't lose any weight until I reduced my stress levels and got control of my life.

I workout less and eat more now.  Strange.

Admittedly, I'm that person. I want to step my game up, but it's hard when H won't do it with me.. pathetic, I know.

    /confession of the day.

  • Yeah, that would piss me off, too. But this coming from the chick that can eat whatever she wants, never has to work out, and never gains a pound.

  • This girl gained something like 105 pounds while she was pregnant.

    Indifferent

The Husband knew her before she was pregnant and when he saw her with her six month old child he said it looked like she ate the old version of herself.

He only found it funny because she has always been really obsessed with what she looked like and would make fun of anyone who weighed more than her.

How is that possible? That's like gaining.... a person. Not just a baby.

A friend of mine from college gained 70 right after she was married, and then another 30 after their first baby.  I felt SO bad for her - and her husband was a total douche who only married her because she was skinny and hot when he met her (she was in HS, he was in his 2nd year in college).

It's so hard to see that happen to a friend - especially because I know it's effing HARD to keep it all in check.  I don't think she really saw it all coming, honestly - it was like she just kicked back and was trying to prep all these great meals for her new husband, and then she woke up one day and realized she'd gained 20lbs, then 30, then 40, and so on and so forth.  I just can't imagine.  Shoot - I notice immediately when I put on even 5lbs and freak over that.

I don't know what's worse- gaining 105lbs or having the hubs make a comment like that.

As vain as this is, a huge part of me doesn't want to be pg because I mentally cannot see those kind of numbers on the scale ever again.

  • No sh!t!

When she was only about half way through she had told me she gained 80 pounds - since I have no filter I blurted out "That's like a full sized German Shephard.. that is obese!"

She must have been one of those women that eat for 2 instead of eating a few extra calories to support the baby.  Also I think it serves her right if she made fun of other people for being bigger than her.

    mine weighs 120lbs. Embarrassed

  • It seems like exercise has nothing to do with my actual weight.  I think it's important and it makes me feel good, but for me it is almost 100% diet.
