  • I haven't been able to get on the nest much today.

I don't like most of the pictures of my dress. It was just too small, and I hated that about it.

    This picture is okay. meh.

  • I absolutely loved the embroidery and the scalloped edge on the train.image

I also really liked the fit of the dress, however I don't think it did much for my boobs. An empire waist probably would have been better, but to fit my ginormous boobage, it would have needed to be massively altered....and I probably could have made a mini-me flower girl dress from the leftover fabric.

The only thing I didn't really like was the bustle. It was a one point, single button; the seamstress said it would show off the embroidery, hang well, and would hold up all night. Well, it didn't really show off the embroidery as much as I wanted, it didn't hang well, and it didn't last all night. Someone stepped on it during the bridal dance (as is known to happen when people swing you around to a polka), and the loop broke.

I was hoping for this kind of bustle (ballroom bustle with 4 points) but the seamstress said it wouldn't be necessary for what I wanted for my dress....

  • This is always the picture I think of first when I want to AW my dress:

It's from the RTD shoot and not the wedding, but I love this one.  I loved the just-enough amount of sparkle, the sweetheart neckline, the ruching, the corset, the long, long train, and the way it accentuated and fit my body.  I loved that it made me feel a little princess-y without being a big, huge ballgown.

  • I decided that I did not like my dress.  It wasn't me, I went with a "classic" big dress and I regret not going for something more edgy that better suited my personality. That being said, I still love the pick ups and the details and I think it's a great dress, I just wish I had gone with something more simple.

My favorite picture of just my dress:

I did love the lace up corset back.

It was just sooo huge, a long train and even with being altered and taken up, was still a bit too long for me.

  • Aww... i miss wearing my dress!  Here's some silly pictures of it:

  • I loved my dress.  I loved the material (metallic taffeta, perfect for the beach) and I loved the vintage look.  And, I loved that I don't see many dresses like it...it was pretty unique.

The only thing I didn't like was that my boobs didn't fill it out (even with sewn in cups) and one of my straps kept falling down.

  • I liked that I could move around in it (half of the other ones I tried on were impossible to walk or sit in). I put it on and started dancing to the music in the store and everyone who I was with was like 'this is the one she likes because shes dancing'. I liked that it was a halter and not a strapless because the ladies would have been miserable (and speaking of ladies, this dress had the perfect amount of cleave in the fact that H would like it, but I could dance with my dad and not feel weird).

It was freaking HOT though... I started dancing a little at the reception, and I was pretty much sweating... and looking back on it, it looked a little cheap fabric wise, but it would have been a million times hotter if my dress was something heavier like silk.

I also liked all the beading, there were pearl like and diamond like embellishments and it continued down the dress in little patches.
