The $64 Tomato

Some or most of you might have already heard of this book but I just read it and thought others on this board who hadn't heard of it would enjoy it also.  It's a book about the trials and tribulations one gardener has throughout the years.  Those of you who regularly garden most likely will be able to relate.  It was a fun and light read!

  • I read it. It was really funny!
  • Oh I've been wondering if this was worth reading! I'll add it to my list. Maybe it will help me feel better about this years tomato crop.

Agreed. He apparently has one out about trying to bake the perfect loaf of bread too, but I haven't read it so I don't know anything about it.

  • I was looking at the excerpt about his bread book today.  I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as much since I don't bake homemade bread.  But if it is written in the same manner and tone then I think it would still be enjoyable since the other was so funny.

  • There were a couple parts that I literally LOL'd. I won't spoil any parts but I personally felt there were some very funny moments to it :)
  • Thanks for the rec!  I've been looking for a new book.

Alisha, did your tomatoes not do well?  I have tomatoes coming out my ears.
