Hi Ladies!

Just wanted to introduce myself and ask a few questions!.....I'm a New Orleans Gal and my SO is a Atlanta boy.. When he's finished his residency, we are likely moving to the Savannah area.  I've never been but have heard great things about this place!... How is the economy and jobs out there?...  Are there lots of things to do?... How far from a big city?---or is Savannah a pretty big city?.... We are planning a weekend trip to check out the area!... Any good or bad opinions are greatly appreciated!.. thank you :-)

Re: Hi Ladies!

  • I don't have much to add. I haven't been to Savannah in years. It is a bit of a hike from Atlanta. I am sure there are some girls on here that can help out with info.

Just wanted to say welcome, and hello from a former Tulanian! I miss NOLA, although I haven't been back in years.

  • Welcome! I'm actually from Savannah and my whole family still lives there! It's a small city, a walking city-- lots of historical buildings, outdoor bars and restaurants, close to the beach and the river anywhere you live down there all within a 20 min drive. Very very slow. That is the one thing I noticed when I moved to Atl and went down to visit my family. I'm now used to the traffic and hustle and bustle. Food is awesome, schools aren't good--- if you have children they will probably need to go to Private. Any other questions? :-)
