Major bummer!
Some rough storms went through the Milwaukee area last night. I guess lightning struck a strip mall, which started a fire that burnt the whole thing to the ground. The first Starbucks I worked at (for three years) was in that plaza. 
No one hurt, thankfully. Still makes me nostalgic.
Maybe now they'll put one in with a drive-thru like it always should have been...
Re: Major bummer!
Mine isn't as reminscent as yours, but the same thing happened to a strip mall in my neighborhood early yesterday morning. Everything is gone (the Mexican restaurant that just built a new patio, our dry cleaners, the place that did my nails for the wedding, and lots more). Luckily, nothing else in the plaza was damaged.
Like you said about your Starbucks, maybe the owner will make everything better in the rebuild.
We had those here in Chicago, too. They were really bad - hundreds of thousands without power. One of my friends in a western suburb didn't even have power as of Monday! Craziness!
...Today's not looking to promising either...
