1st Year Anniversary

Our first year anniversary is coming up and my husband and I are trying to think of a way to make it really special. Our wedding was fantastic, don't get me wrong, but a little hazy and our wedding night was spent with 8 people in our living room. He went to bed at 2ish I went to bed at 4ish. Not very romantic.

So I want to come up with something traditional that we can do every year. I was thinking of buying a cookbook and every year us picking a recipe [maybe at random...] and cooking that for dinner together, then having a candlelight "picnic". That's all I can think of though!

So what did you do or are you planning to do for your 1st wedding anniversary?

Re: 1st Year Anniversary

  • Am I really the first one to answer?  *looks around*  K, I'll take this one.

    Steak & a BJ!

  • We both love to travel so we're saving up for a big trip!  Our honeymoon was amazing but we want to travel as much as we can before we have kids.  So...we're either headed to Italy or Australia!  But if you can't take a big vacation maybe you can get away for just a few days.  Or even stay at a little bed and breakfast close to home.  There's lots of options!  But I do like your idea- its really cute.  Don't forget to add some champagne to your dinner!

  • Since it is my last day before my 3 day weekend and I'm in a fabulous mood I'm going to be nice....

You're not going to get the answers you want here unless your options are

taking it in the back door

    or

    having a 3 some

If these are not options for you, you may want to try another board.  I hear wedding bee is a fabu site!

And to answer your questions.  Yes, we are bitter old hags and yes we feel sorry for our husbands.
