f/u/ to 18 mile run

DH just convinced that I may as well just sign up for the full and definitely run the 18 and then walk/run the rest.  So, that's the plan.  I'll be signing up this week!

He said it'll give me a good idea of what the actual distance is like and since I'm going into with the mind-set of an 18 mile training run, I won't be set up for disappointment, and if it goes totally crappy, then hopefully I've gotten it out of my system and the full will go great!

  • I've been MIA on the boards for quite some time due to back injury.

    But it sounds as if you've decided to go for the marathon.  If yes, go for it!  My first marathon my longest run was 19.5 miles...I had an extra training week but I had to listen to my body.  It's ok if you run/walk ...many people do.  You will be find and have fun!
