Need a recommendation of an orthopedist in Bucks

I have been putting off getting my knee looked at for a while now, but I need to do something about it.  Everytime I bend my knee, it pops (loudly, and painfully).  Every.Single.Time.   Anyone have recommendations for an orthopod in the Bucks County area?  I am off all this week so hopefully there is someone who can see me on short notice so I can finally get this taken care of.

Re: Need a recommendation of an orthopedist in Bucks

  • I really liked Dr. Kim Clabbers who took care of my CTS a few year ago. She was very thorough and great to work with in terms of pre and post surgical care.

  • I used Dr. John Irwin for all of my knee injuries/surgeries.  His office is in Yardley in that complex next to the firehouse and across from McCaffrey's.  He's the chief of orthopedics at St. Mary's.  Their office staff is slightly flaky but he's a great doctor.  I had to get my knee drained several times b/c of swelling and he was the only doctor who didn't make me feel like I was getting Dextered.  215-321-9520.

He does X-Rays in his office but you'll likely have to go out for an MRI.

  • i know its far but everyone i know who had a knee prob swears by rothman institute at jeff...def try getting more than one opinion though :)

  • I see Dr Sacks at Philadelphia Orthapedic Group. I go to the Bala Cynwyd officeas it is close to my work but they have a NE Philly office. He has been pretty good so far. I had to get an x-ray (You prob will too or even an MRI).

I choose him as he did knee surgery on my coworker and it was very sucessful. Thankfully, my knee issue will not need any form of surgery but I didn't know at first.

  • "getting dextered"  LOL.
  • Not in Bucks county but North Penn Orthopedics in Lansdale is really good.

I've had two knee surgeries myself.  Sounds like you might have some kind of cartiladge tear or something.  A knee scope will really help you out and it's a fairly easy surgery to recover from.  Good luck!!!
