I do believe men have an aversion to cleaning.
Do they think it will turn them into a girl or something.
I've got about 5 loads of laundry to fold plus what's in the washer and dryer and more to wash. Dishes that need washed-in general I really need to clean house. And I've been working all week (including today) and we're leaving tonight to go out of state for the weekend. He's not working today, and I can guarantee he won't clean a thing.
GRRR...
Ok. I'm done.
Re: Guys and Cleaning
I LOL'd when I read the title of this post. The two just don't go together.
H can occasionally go on cleaning sprees...but it's not very often.

DH has been working from home for about 3 days now...I have to remind him of things that need to be done. I mean I am MORE than happy to clean but I just don't have all the time I need to get everything done!
I keep reminding him, ya know...it's OK to put your dishes in the dishwasher when you're done with them!!!
<a href="http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/adia83/?action=view
I also have to tell DH what to do. I say can you please clean the fish tank, take out the garbadge and load the dishwasher otherwise it would sit there and when I say something he says something along the lines of "Why didn't you say something sooner". Umm I shouldn't have to.

I don't think H knows what cleaning is.
He does his own laundry, but I do EVERYTHING else! At this point I'm just glad he does that I guess.

Is that a typo or do you really pronounce garbage gar-badge?

Chris and Doug need to hang out more often. Maybe we can send them to hang out with each other when they go on the must clean kicks...first your house, then my house. We'll go out shopping!

my DH is currently running the vacuum while i nest. next on his list is to wash the floors.
this of course is a rare occasion...but ill take what i can get!
Chris is home today, so he's doing all the last minute cleaning for tonight's party while I'm at work. I love it!
i was supposed to work but we have about three inches of snow so i opted to take off, even though i was off yesterday too. but he told me he was planning to clean, this was his idea to have a party, so i should just relax. you dont need to tell me twice...
Jealous.
of the snow? you can have it. **hands MB a big pile of snow**
Ahh, Stees, you don't like the snow? And, why aren't you working? I thought S&L would be open today! Damn, I got the crap end of the stick. I had to drive in this stuff to come to work and the roads are terrible.
I *really* want to leave work and do a snowy Pennsylvania photo shoot.
No way man - of the snow day and your DH telling you to relax while he cleans for his party. You keep that white stuff away from me! *runs away*
we're open. we're always open. i just decided not to go in. i dont have anything thats time critical and my boss is out anyway. ill take a vacay day. a lot of time during snow people opt to work from home. i could do that...but no ill relax instead.
Oh, Amelia, it's incredibly control-y! But, I do it anyway.
Danny doesn't do any daily cleaning at all. But he goes into "cleaning mode" every now and then where I'll sleep in (like 2 hours) on a Saturday, wake up and all the dishes will be done the living room will be dusted and swept, and half of the laundry will be done. When he gets into his cleaning modes, he gets more accomplished in 2 hours than I do in 2 days....
But, this past week he's been on a redo the basement kick (pulling out the old wood shelves, painting, building a work shop) and hasn't touched a damn thing that is ground level or above. I said today about using my new electric roaster for NYE pork/kielbasa/kraut and he says, "I was thinking that too, but if we have people come over, you need to clean the dishes so they can eat." Thanks, honey...
