Since I always post about the bad, here's something GOOD

You may or may not remember, when I was 34 weeks pregnant, on our way home from vacation, Neil ended up in the ER twice, two surgeries and five days in the hospital, in the middle of nowhere Illinois. We had not seen a bill, and I had called on it several times, afraid it got lost in the mail when we moved.

Neil finally spoke with someone yesterday. The total bill was just under $49,000 for everything. Insurance paid about $12,000 and the hospital WROTE THE REST OFF!! I could not believe it. They said they actually owe us $75 because of the co-pay I paid on the first trip to the ER. It should have been waived when he was admitted! I literally cried when Neil told me that yesterday. The sheer amount of money we owe in medical bills right now just sucks. Between Ryan being in the hospital twice, Neil's surgery when he got home from Illinois, my ER trip after I had Ryan, the flu visit to the ER, etc. It was just a big big relief.
