shoe organizer

Does anyone know where I can get a good shoe organizer??  (that doesn't hang on the closet poll or a door?)  I need to fit like 30 pairs of shoes, and everything I've seen doesn't seem to sturdy.  Thanks!

Re: shoe organizer

  • Our neighbor has the Sandnes shoe cabinet from IKEA.  It looks great and seems really sturdy.  She loves it.

  • Walmart and Target have these great boxes that have like 20-50 cubbies each.  They're great.  I love them. I can fit 2-3 pairs of flip flops in each cubby for the most part.  And they're stackable.  So if you get one and then realize it doesn't fit the new shoes you bought last weekend. You can buy another and stack it right on top.  It's also great because if you ever want to add pieces they have other pieces in the collection to make a sort of unit out of all of the pieces.  I believe the come in white and like a neutral wood tone.  I only have one, because I registered for one that I thought would work great and it turned out to be way too flimsy.  It was a 50 pair shoe rack from bed, bath, and beyond. and it was made out of plastic and only had plastic bars holding up the shoes.  I have to have it propped up between a wall and another piece of furniture so that it will not tip over and break.  So be very ware of those.  They are horrible, and I am speaking from experience.
  • I got this one from Costco.  This is someone else's review of it, but I agree with everything except it wasn't that hard to put together.

That looks awesome, but I don't have a membership to Costco... I wonder if anyone else carries them.

  • Target had something like that, but I ended up going with some other shelves.  They turned out great!  Even though some of the heels are two tall (I just laid those down on their sides).  Thanks for the help guys!
