Help - dark stain on jeans

This morning I noticed a splotchy dark stain on the shin area of jeans that I had just washed & dried. I have no idea what it is. It looks as if it's just a wet area, so I'm thinking maybe oil from the parking lot? Any ideas how to remove it? My mother suggested Lestoil.

  • I use Dreft Stain Remover on everything... and it really works well. DH has a tendancy of coming home w/ stains all over.

  • I second Lestoil.   Dark stain usually equals greasy.   Greasy stains call for Lestoil.
  • Thanks! I'll try lestoil first, then dreft if it doesn't work.
