Looking to take a photography class...

Can anyone recommend a good place to take a class?  We bought a Nikon D40 before DS was born and I've been trying to teach myself to use it.  I feel like I've hit a wall and would really benefit from some professional guidance.

Thanks!  Mary

Re: Looking to take a photography class...

  • Check with places like Ritz Camera, Cameras Etc in Newark & Wilmington, and county Parks & Rec.   I've seen/heard them all offer a course in beginner photography at one point and time.   Cecil Community also offers courses, but they are on the college level and usually a full semester long.
  • ritz camera's in newark has different classes twice a week in evenings on various topics. the guy told me the classes usually last about an hour and they are free if the camera was purchased from there.
