opinions needed on paint color

I am thinking about painting my front door and possibly the sidelights too.  Right now they are white.  My house is half brick, half white siding, with black shutters.  Do you think a beige front door would be nice?  I would love to do red, but the tiles in my foyer are an aqua blue and the red would clash really badly on the days I keep the front door open.  So what do you girls think about a beige?  I don't want to spend any money on paint and I already have two cans of two different color beiges that I could use from last year when I painted my den.  Go ahead and be honest...

Re: opinions needed on paint color

  • aqua and red are one of my fave color combos :)

i don't know if your lowe's does this..but ours always has clearance paint on one of the end caps. i guess it's where people get their gallon home, hate the color and return it. the ones i've seen have been super $5 a gallon. you never know when you may love one of the colors :)

i'd go with beige if you already have it. no need in buying a whole nother gallon. I think beige would look nice

  • I have a green front door and gold walls in my livingroom, and we have the door open all the time.

I say if you like red, I would go with that no matter what the color of the hallway is.

But I think the beige would look fine too :)
