Help!

Do any of you ladies know of any ways that i can relieve my lower back ache/pains without having to take any pain relievers? (i try not to take anything if i don't have to)

  • Have you tried a heating pad?  Or stretching?  Accupuncture is a non-drug means of relieving back pain too and I think it is safe during pregnancy.

  • I agree with alliapistor, heating pad, stretching and acupuncture (although I've never had it).  I've had back pain my entire life and had surgery a few years ago to fix my scoliosis so I totally know what you're going through.

    Before I was pregnant Alieve was the only thing that worked for me. Well I can only take Tylenol now and that does squat! 

    Now I take a hot shower, strech and have DH massage me. I'd love to try acupuncture though because being this late in the pregnancy my back is really killing me now.

  • I agree with pps. Also, try a chiropractor (sp?).
  • Have DH rub your back! I have mine do this before I go to bed, atleast I sleep really good at night.

    Also while sitting in a chair put a pillow behind your back.

    Just going and moving around in the pool helps mine some.
