Re: Procreate in '08- check in!

  • I am on cd51 of my cycleAngry I have bld work w/my re in 2 weeks and if they are negative hopefully they will put me on something to make me get a period so we can move on..This weekend DH and i made the decision to switch REs..We are moving onto injectables (more agressive) and i don't feel like my RE explains everything in the detail the way i would like...Plus i never feel like they are open to my questions and concerns...I  have made an appointment with my sister's old RE..I am very excited to meet him. Our appointment isn't unitl Aug 22...But i guess thats ok b/c DH and i could use the break.

QOTD: I LOVE the name Carly (DH hates it) I also like Lindsay (DH isn't crazy about it but also hasn't said no)

As far as boys go I LOVE the name Bailey (but DH insists thats a name only for girls)

Ugh, I can't believe CD51! I hope your AF comes soon!!! If you dont feel comfortable with your RE's decisions or manner, you should definitely switch.

QOTD: What are some names that you LOVE but DH doesn't?

DH and I both agree that we dont want names in the top 50, but DH likes "strange" names like Adele and Nolan, while I prefer old-fashion names like Alexandria or Nathaniel which he hates. He thinks it's too flowery.

  • Im on CD 15.... just basically starting the 2.5 WW fun! we go to our New RE on Sept 2. Im excited to take charge again and get some action plan going again. But hopefully we wont need the RE bc im gonna get Pg this month... right?! lol who am I kidding.

QOTD:  Dh wants to name a boy after him his name is Raymond. I dont like that name, his mom calls him Ray ray like he is 2 y.o I want my child to have his own name lol and I dont want my mil calling him ray ray. For a girl he likes the name madalyn. I like the name but I have a lot of other first choices.

Dh really pics names off the wall... he like Marlo for a boy too... ummm not for me

  • well, if we are talking dh's picks for names...mine likes what i consider pretty plain names..for girls he like allison (ali for short) and Megan...i like Megan but it maybe too plain for me

He always says he wants to name our son Champ (after Champ Bailey) but i hope he is kidding....atleast i think he is

  • "As far as boys go I LOVE the name Bailey (but DH insists thats a name only for girls) "  Stick out tongue

Cyndi, I had a cocker spaniel named bailey, when I first got him he was a creme color like Baileys Irish Creme and I gave him his first bath and he came out white!! It was a boy dog.  I love the name though! Big Smile

I hope AF comes soon for you!!

We have only talked about this the 1st time I was pg.  So I'm going on memory from 2 years ago...

I liked Tyler but he wants to name a boy after his father William.  Too plain for me...I think we had decided we would name him William as long as we called him Liam and not Bill or Will, or worse Billy (no offense).

For Girls, I like Anastasia but he dated a girl with that name...I don't think he had any picks for girls...I like Abigail too, but wouldn't want Abby for short...

Oh, I think I'm on cycle day 3?

I had chromosome testing today just have to wait for results, DH is waiting for labwork paperwork from his pcp so he can get his test done.  If all is ok, then we're on to the RE.

Oh, I totally forgot the TTC aspect! LOL. Smile

I'm on CD 25, just had my Progesterone P4 test yesterday (7DPiui #1) and my levels at 14.4 ng/ml for an unmedicated cycle. I was worried! I thought I'd definitely have to be on p4 pills.

This is my first IUI so I'm hoping it works.

  • Of course I can't actively TTC for probably a couple months, but do you girls mind if I come back to the check in with you?  Right now I just have to wait, hopefully it won't be too long.

Cyndi- My pomeranian's name is Bailey, I LOVE that name.  I have always thought it was a boy's name, not a girls name at all:)

DH and I agreed on names for our first boy and girl without a problem.  We talked about possible names past that and really can't come up with any.  I like Tyler, but DH doesn't.  I like Luke, he sort of likes that.  I can't think of any girl names other than the one we chose.

When we have a girl her name will be Emily Madeline (Madeline was my Grandmom's name). Our boy will be Ethan Paul Jr. (Paul was also both of our father's middle name, they have both passed on).

  • Stephanie,

You are always welcomed here no matter where you are in your process..In my experience some OBs say to wait 2-3 months post m/c before ttc...

I have to say that fact that you are posting under our procreate check in shows how strong and couragous you are! I pray that you will be pregnant again soon!

  • Thanks.  The dr. suggested I go the natural route and said that I can try again after 1cycle. If I didn't go the natural route, she said 2-3 months.  I hope that this time goes by really fast.  I have to say that the only thing that makes me feel a little better right now is looking forward to being pregnant again.
  • Yup, I can relate b/c i was the same way...All i cared about was getting pregnant again
  • I'm on CD8 (Go home already, AF!!!).  I have an appt for my routine GYN visit in October and that will mark the 1 yr point, so I'm going to chart the next few cycles and then go with my charts, my list of questions and requested labs, etc.

I like Madison, Madleline, Collin, Aidan, Mackenzie (would be awful with our last name), Reilly, Connor, Ethan, or Nathan.  DH thinks most are too popular and won't go for them.  I also always liked the name Meredith (not sure why) but that's the name of an ex of his, so it's off the table!

  • BTW--Jin'sWifey CD 51???  Oh, I feel for you!  I'd be pulling my hair out.  I'm glad you're moving on to a new RE. You need to be comfortable and confident in your provider and it sounds like the current one isn't up to par.  Good luck!

I did the natural route 2 times.  Something I was never told so I wanted to try and forewarn you.

Be prepared, the process is quite possibly more painful emotionally & physically then hearing the bad news itself.  I'm welling up just thinking about what you're going through.  Sad

If you need to talk, I'm here.   Jaime.Sia at verizon.net

  • Thanks Jaime!  I appreciate your kindness.  Its something that I'm not looking foward to, but I want to get it over with so that I can try to move onward as soon as possible.

  • While I'm not trying but certainly not preventing....no temping (it's too hectic now that KJ is waking up and wanting me -and only me- to put him back to bed, but I do have OPK this month for my OB because he wants to make sure I am OK after the cycles on clomid.

We have a boy name William James (William after both of out Uncles and James after my father)

Girl names I'm not sure of, it will probably be Sarah Elizabeth (that would have been KJ's girl name) With my last pregnancy I was sure that she was a girl and I wanted to name her Hailey.  I don't want to use the name again.

I really like the name Lanie.  I would like to do Lanie Diane (Lanie after my mom, Melanie and Diane after Kevin's mom)  I also like Loralie...who knows though.
