Garment Steamers

Do you think these are worth the money?  If you have one, would you recommend it?  TIA!

Re: Garment Steamers

  • I got a con-air from Bed Bath & Beyond as a wedding gift. Personally, I think it's good for gowns or fabrics that are really soft and thin (which might get burned under iron). But in terms of shirts, I think the regular iron works better. The steamer just takes a long time. Maybe it's just the brand that I have...

Oh.. and a piece of advice, when you're using a steamer, you have to use distilled water. Tap water will damage the steamer. Just fyi Smile

Personally, if you don't have sensitive clothes, don't get one. It's not necessary.
