Previous Post F/U

(I always though "F/U" meant "eff you", ha)

I called the principal AGAIN, and this time the secretary put me through and she wasn't supposed to. Oops, o well!! Anyway, the principal said that yes she still wants me, but the woman ("Rachel")who deals with subs is in an all-day meeting. Tomorrow "Rachel" will be putting the job opening with the county so that she can then call me and the "Victoria" lady for Processing. The earliest I'll be able to go down to Processing is Friday morning. Which also happens to be the last day Processing is open until June. Great. What a wonderful window to work with.?

I'm sorry for complaining, but I'm just worn down with all of this. If I didn't need a job so badly, I would just shrug this off. It's only a 4 week job, but it's also a great addition to my resume and over $1k in pay.

*sigh* I think it's time for a long shower after an ice cream sandwich.

  • I'm glad you heard some positive news today! That always makes things better!

  • I am crossing my fingers and toes for you!

  • Believe me, I KNOW how frustrating it is!! Granted, I wasn't pregnant when I was looking for a job, but I totally understand what a pain in the ass dealing with the principals and HR departments can be. I filled in for two maternity leave positions the year after graduating (one for 4 months, one for 3) and the experience was invaluable. Having the steady pay (rather than day to day subbing) was great too!

I hope it all works out for you!
